This new section is just an excuse for us to tie together our love of "Merlin" with another favorite tv series of our past in "Highlander: The Series". In other words we've taken screen captures from the scenes of the "Highlander" episode that was filmed at Château de Pierrefonds in France where "Merlin" is filmed at. A few extras were thrown in for the heck of it.
The episode that was filmed at the castle is Star-Crossed which is part of the fan favorite third season Kalas storyarc. The scenes filmed there were the episode's flashback sequences featuring the first meeting between main character Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) and Hugh Fitzcairn (Roger Daltrey). The flashbacks see action in both the inside and outside of Pierrefonds.
"Highlander: The Series" was a syndicated television series that aired from 1992 to 1998 and told the tale of immortal warrior Duncan MacLeod who fights other immortals to stay alive. It was a wonderful series that took the concept of the original "Highlander" film and gave it more depth and actually worked. That can't be said about the film sequels even including the ones featuring Adrian Paul's Duncan MacLeod character. If you've never seen an episode of "Highlander" you should check one of the best ones out in Star-Crossed. Chances are you'll be hooked and want to watch the entire show.
