What is “Merlin”?
“Merlin” is an action, adventure and fantasy drama that airs on BBC One in the United Kingdom. It’s filmed in France and England. The show is based loosely off the many Arthurian stories and legends. It is staged in the young adult years of both Merlin and Arthur. Whether or not it will extent into the King Arthur days remains to be seen. It should also be noted that the producers state on the first DVD set that the world in which the show takes place is a fantasy world and not ment to be 100% historically accurate.

When will Season/Series 2 be released on DVD?
Part 1 which features the first six episodes will be released November 23, 2009 in the UK. The second part which features the rest of the episodes will be released February 8, 2010. This is a PAL Region 2 release so if you live outside the UK you will need a region free DVD player that can play PAL discs.

When will the second soundtrack be released?
The second "Merlin" soundtrack will be released November 24, 2009 or December 14, 2009. It can be pre-ordered at Screen Archives which states the release date is planned for November 24. Amazon.co.uk has it listed for release December 14. The soundtrack will contain 20 tracks from Season/Series 2. Be forewarned that the track listings at the pre-order links do contain spoilers for upcoming episodes.

Will this fansite have screen captures from the Season 2 episodes?
Yes and we will try and have them up and ready for your viewing and using pleasure the same weekend an episode airs. Tv quality Screen captures will be replaced by DVD quality ones in the future.

When will the second season air in North America?
The timeframe for that is not yet known.

Is this a family friendly show?
Yes. Although it has its darker moments it is nowhere near as violent or has the sort of adult situations that both “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” and “Xena: Warrior Princess” could have at times. Even though “Merlin” is a family friendly show it can still be enjoyed by adults. In my opinion, it’s a quality show that deserves a long life to tell its tale.

The summaries are an assortment of recaps from NBC's site and the press releases that BBC released to promote each episode. That explains why the BBC press release summaries aren’t a full summary. This site will be providing our own summaries for Season 2.

Sorry but I can’t do that. I have no contact with anyone who works on the show. The team and me are just fans running a fansite for fellow fans.

How can one get a legal copy of the first season DVD set?
There are two DVD sets. The first contains the first six episodes and some extras. The second contains the last seven episodes and more extras. They are available in region 2 Pal format which means if you live in other areas where that isn’t the standard format, you’ll need an all region DVD player. The best places to find the DVD sets are Sendit.com and Amazon.co.uk. They will ship to the United States and possibly to other countries outside the United Kingdom.
